tm stagetec systems has released the functional and efficient DIO with a new design and new features. General Manager at tm stagetec systems, Mark Lownds, had this to say; ‘We are excited to bring to the market the updated version of the DIO. This impressive device was designed in Australia as the army knife for audio and we feel that it really lives up to this claim. The DIO has an extensive array of tools and benefits for a huge range of audio applications. It is both reliable and functional for our clients’ many and varied requirements.’

The DIO (Dante Input/Output) is known for its quality design and has a proven track record for reliability. The DIO offers an almost immeasurable number of practical uses when it comes to audio systems. The device is a key feature in many of tm stagetec systems’ fully customised PA and broadcast systems.

Not only has the DIO undergone a re-design, this little device has been packed with a brand new range of features. These features include:

  • Further expanding on tm stagetec systems’ partnership with Audinate, the DIO is fully Dante Domain Manager compatible.
  • It offers selectable channels per flow for low bandwidth links.
  • The device had additional DSP Mute, Dim, Vox parameters and priorities.
  • All new serial tunnelling features.
  • An updated web design.

For more on the technical side, the DIO also offers the following:

  • POE Copper and Fibre Ethernet – The DIO boasts a 2 port Ethernet switch (1x 1Gb Copper and 1x SFP cage) and incorporates Dante audio. Power is provided by PoE (Power over Ethernet) or the DIO can run via an external PSU. Redundancy is provided between both power sources.

  • Inputs and Outputs – AES Input and Output, Mic Input, Line Input, Line Output are all incorporated into the DIO design. Further extending the tools included in the DIO are a headphone output with external volume control. DIO is also available in an IP 66 version allowing integration of analogue, AES and even 100/70 volt systems outdoors.

  • GPIO – The two general purpose, input/output (GPIO) pins round out the DIO and further add to this device’s adaptability and practicality.
